Fun... or Terror?

It's fun to visit an amusement park with boys who know no fear.  I, on the other hand, have become more sedate as I've grown older.  Honestly, I've had enough brushes with death, why tempt fate?  However, it was fun to see our guys enjoying themselves so much.

Christian couldn't seem to get enough of the roller coasters and other rides at Knott's and ran on to them over and over in wild enthusiasm.
We who are about to die... smile and wave at you!
Dad was plucky and pretty much kept up with him.  Anders did too.

I really enjoyed taking pictures of them doing it.

Christian jumps in with both feet and a tremendous amount of enthusiasm. I like that about him.

There is a line in the movie Parenthood about life being like a roller coaster - it has its ups and downs.  Whether you will like it or not, is quite another story!   I suppose if you learn to relax and enjoy the ride, you've won half the battle.

Or, as an Apostle recently said, the way we react to adversity can be a major factor in how happy and successful we can be in life.

Elder Wirthlin went on to conclude:
As we look for humor, seek for the eternal perspective, understand the principle of compensation, and draw near to our Heavenly Father, we can endure hardship and trial.  We can say, as did my mother, "Come what may, and love it."
