Douhua


This is Holly's favorite dessert
Douhua, as my nephew Daniel describes it, is a tofu-based pudding with a sweet syrupy sauce.  It's also his wife's favorite dessert.  When they visit Taiwan, it's on the list of "must-haves".
Have some?
No matter how hard I try to imagine how good this is, I'm afraid I can't get enthused. Sure, it's rich, creamy and sugary, so all the ingredients are there to make a good dessert... and then I think of the main ingredient... tofu... and suddenly I just don't know if it sounds all that great.

Maybe it's just me.  I think I'll have to try it some day, just to weigh in on it with some authority.
