They're Here!

Kirsti greeting Daniel, Holly and children while Christian looks on
Our world travelers are finally home.

My nephew Daniel and his family arrived from Shenyang, China recently for a month-long home leave in Salt Lake City, Utah.  In the above photo they had been traveling for more than 30 hours.  That's a really long time - especially when you are traveling with small children.

A Really.  Long.  Time.

One of the first stops once home?  Mexican food!

Daniel, happy to be home
Daniel had a birthday just before coming home, so they had to celebrate all over again.

Slurping - a Chinese birthday tradition!
Here is Daniel with his birthday lunch just before leaving China. You must slurp your noodles - and not break them - to insure longevity, according to Chinese custom.

Being surprised with the cake
I'm not exactly sure where these photos were taken, but, from the looks of it, I'm guessing they may have been taken at Daniel's office in Shenyang.

Happy 29th Birthday!
Looks like it was pretty yummy.

And then he got to have a belated birthday all over again in Utah.

Back home again
It's nice having Daniel and his family home for a while.  Their next assignment?  Ottawa, Canada!
